Pricing

One cent a query. Uploading your own documents is free, and there is no subscription to cancel — you top up a balance and the balance pays for queries.

A query: $0.01 — whether it searches your documents or the open corpus.
Uploading a document: Free.
Smallest top-up: $5. Presets are $5, $10, $25 and $50; other amounts are accepted above the floor.

What a query is

One call to retrievr_search, or one POST /retrieve.

Uploads

Uploads unlock after your first top-up. From then on, uploading PDFs, EPUBs, plain text and Markdown is free. Your documents are searched together with the open corpus by default and are never visible to anyone else's agent.

What is included

The openly licensed corpus is included at the same price, with citations — title, author, section, character range and licence. Nothing is returned without one.

To see it working before you decide anything, the docs are the place to start: install, what to ask, where your own documents fit, what comes back.
